Jason McCaffity has lived in Tarrant County for most of his life.  His family has been in the North East Tarrant County area since 1845.  Jason is 36 years old and lives with his loving wife Tresa.   They have been married for 13 years.  Jason and Tresa have two wonderful children Kayla 13 and Kyler 9.  Jason attended both L. D. Bell and Trinity High Schools from 1990-1993.  He later received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law Enforcement Administration and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in human resources through Ottawa University, graduating with honors. Jason attended the Police Academy in 1996 and graduated 3rd in his class.  Jason is a graduate of the 89th School of Police Supervision and 46th Police Management College taught by the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration www.slei.org/ilea/index.html.  He currently holds a Master Peace Officer Certification issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) www.tcleose.state.tx.us.  Jason has over 2400 police related training hours credited by TCLEOSE.  Among those hours are Police Instructor, Field Training Officer, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Police Emergency Driving Instructor, Taser Instructor and ALERRT Instructor www.alerrt.com.  Jason has over 14 years of municipal police service.Jason has dedicated his life to public service and has maintained and demonstrated a philosophy of being a life-long learner.
